Commissioning Brief: Marriage Equality Viral Video

14 Dec 2010

About the brief:

Following on from the success of our viral video Sinead's Hand (335,000 views to date) we are looking to commission a new video to promote Marriage Equality, our work, and the importance of equal marriage rights for LGBT people in Ireland and their families.

The Message:

The video needs to highlight the continued, urgent need for equal marriage rights for LGBT couples in Ireland, despite the enactment of the Civil Partnership Act earlier this summer. This could be done by focussing on the impact that the lack of marriage equality has on the lives of children and young adults with gay and lesbian parents or in some other way.

Target Audience(s):

The video needs to appeal to a wide variety of audiences - from dedicated supporters of LGBT rights, to the general public.

Additional Information:

The video will be featured on our own website (www.marriagequality.ie), as well as our YouTube channel and Facebook pages. Due to the intended viral nature of the video, it should be no longer than 2 minutes.

Budgets for this video will be subject to further discussions, but should be in the range of €8,000 to €10,000 to include VAT and any outlay and competitively priced proposals will be favoured.
